When our friends at Native Poppy, a local and women-owned flower shop in San Diego came to us for assets for their website, we knew shooting at our sister-studio, Influence Studios San Diego, was the way to go. The difference between shooting in a studio vs on your own is huge, and when you book at Influence Studios SD you reap the many benefits of the space:
Sets: Our studio features 12 sets that are pre-styled and pre-lit for your content production needs. We also have a product table and cyc wall for e-commerce needs. We've also treated a few set walls with different textures, like brick, wood slats, and French paneling.
Lighting: All our sets come pre-lit for turnkey productions. Each features a space light and a key light for a bright, clean, commercial look. Lighting output can be controlled via an iOS app or traditional remote. Additional lighting features such as sun flares and slashes can be added to each set for an additional cost.
Electrical, Facilities, and Parking: We have ample power for your production needs, bathroom & changing room on site, and tons of free parking all around our studio.

Native Poppy: The Blooming Business’s E-Commerce Revamp
While the content on Native Poppy’s site prior to this shoot looked good, we recommended more consistency when it came to lighting and setup, particularly because a large portion of their revenue stream comes from their site traffic. Influence Studios SD made it easy with our pre-lit sets and built-in lighting, and this made a huge difference in the final results. We shot on the Fuji GFX 100s (a medium format digital camera) so we could see every possible detail on the gorgeous flower arrangements. The shots came out as great as we could’ve hoped for, check out some BTS from the shoot here. The crew over at Native Poppy are true masters of their craft and bring such a fresh and creative perspective to the flower space, which always makes working with them a fun and collaborative time.
